Codeifai (ASX: CDE) is expanding ConnectQR across ChatGPT, Claude and Canva, bringing QR code creation and management into AI-powered and design platforms. The move extends the product beyond its standalone website and into digital environments where users already work and interact.

A Distribution Strategy Focused on Where Users Work

Codeifai’s strategy focuses on making its product available where users already work. The company first expanded ConnectQR’s reach through Canva, giving it access to a platform used by designers, content creators, and businesses. A further development came on 12 October, when ConnectQR became available as an app within ChatGPT and Claude.

A key technical element is the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which lets AI applications connect with external tools and services. According to the company’s 12 October announcement, integration with ChatGPT and Claude could expose ConnectQR to platforms with a combined weekly audience of more than 1.5 billion users. By building on this protocol, Codeifai may be able to extend ConnectQR to additional AI platforms that support compatible integrations, rather than developing a separate solution for each environment.

This approach shifts the focus from attracting users to a standalone website towards making QR code creation and management accessible within platforms they already use. If adoption follows, broader distribution could make QR code creation and management more convenient within existing digital workflows.

User Growth and Subscription Potential

Codeifai’s reported user figures point to rapid growth in ConnectQR’s reach. According to the company, the platform has reached 8,541 user accounts, an increase of more than 750% from previously reported figures. The company’s self-service model lets users access its tools and potentially upgrade to paid subscriptions for advanced features, including dynamic QR codes and analytics. However, converting this potential reach into recurring subscription revenue will depend on user adoption and paid conversion rates.

Financial Position and ASX Market Risks

A broader assessment of Codeifai also requires consideration of its financial position and market risks. According to its financial reports, the company remains in a development and growth phase, with reported losses highlighting the financial challenges associated with expanding its business. Separately, an Appendix 3H filing on the cancellation of expired securities updates its securities structure, although this administrative action does not, by itself, indicate a material change in financial strength.

Codeifai’s financial position and share-price volatility remain important considerations when assessing its commercial progress. The commercial impact of this expansion remains uncertain, especially given the company’s reported losses and the challenges of scaling its business.

Future Outlook Beyond QR Codes

Codeifai’s longer-term ambitions extend beyond QR codes. The company’s broader portfolio also includes QuantumAI Secure, which focuses on quantum-secure communications, and ProtectCode, which uses serialised QR codes for product authentication and anti-counterfeiting. Its broader ambition is to develop secure data infrastructure for a post-quantum environment, where advances in quantum computing could challenge existing encryption methods.

These products broaden Codeifai’s strategic focus beyond QR code tools, although their commercial contribution will depend on successful development, adoption and market demand. While expansion across AI platforms could create new commercial opportunities, Codeifai’s ability to convert adoption into sustainable revenue will remain an important factor in assessing its progress.

Conclusion

Codeifai’s expansion across AI and design platforms broadens ConnectQR’s potential reach and supports the company’s wider technology strategy. Its longer-term progress will depend on how effectively it executes this strategy and establishes demand for its broader product portfolio.
